We’re thrilled to announce that Jake McVey will be the headline performer for Hoover’s Hometown Days 2023! Jake will perform on the Fire Station Stage on Friday, August 4, 2023 to kickoff the annual festival in West Branch, Iowa. Follow Hoover’s Hometown Days for the latest announcements.

Jake McVey describes himself as “just a good Iowa boy with a great work ethic” and has earned himself a reputation as a compelling performer who combines upbeat music and youthful enthusiasm with a seasoned eye for reading a crowd. He’s shared the stage with some of country’s most acclaimed acts, including Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, and Dierks Bentley.

Trophy Dads headline Friday Entertainment

Solon’s own Trophy Dads is set to perform Friday evening from 8pm-12am at the West Branch Fire Station stage. One of the areas most popular bands, Trophy Dads features rock favorites from the 90’s and early 2000’s. From Eminem to The Killers, the bands is one of the best in the area.

Enjoy the Trophy Dads along with the Fire in the Hole Bags Tournament, Hot Dog/Brat Dinner, and Beer Tent!

Playing country hits for all generations! Boot Jack Band is a country rock band based in Cedar Rapids, IA. Members of the band have opened for a variety of country music stars, including Dierks Bentley, Randy Houser and Jon Pardi.  Boot Jack Band shows are full of good vibes and great music!

Lojo Russo has been making music along the Mississippi River for most of her life. She spent many years in Minnesota and now lives in the Quad Cities. The easy life of Iowa has had an influence on her music – where once she wrote dramatic and ethereal folk-rock ballads Russo now finds herself pursuing a more roots and Americana flavor.
