New Show!

Master of circus arts and sideshow stunts, Martika will be doing an interactive show on Saturday at 12:30!

Sword-swallower, fire-eater, and international woman of mystery, Martika will bring high octane entertainment to the Main Street Stage this summer. You won’t believe one person can do all the things she does!

Martika’s shows are entertaining and even inspirational, which makes the show perfect for the whole family.

You can see some highlights from her performances below, but you’ll definitely want to see her act in person. When was the last time you saw someone swallow a sword in real life?!

Saturday Music

Hoover’s Hometown Days planning is in full swing, and we want you to know we’ve got some great entertainment lined up! Saturday after the parade, head over to the Main Street Stage to check out Jordan Danielsen with Jef Spradley.

Raised in the Quad Cities, Danielsen’s music features soulful horns, electric guitars, acoustic ballads, blues and even a little hip hop. Jef provides harmonies and backup on drums and guitar. When they perform together, Jordan & Jef have a catalog of over 500 songs, including covers from the 50s all the way through today’s hits. Check out their video page for an idea of what you can expect, and make sure you’re on Main Street for the performance on Saturday, August 3rd at 11:00am!

The Swing Crew

The Swing Crew will be back this year performing Friday night at the fire station!

They’ve been crowd favorites in the past with their fun, funny, and interactive music shows. If you haven’t seen them yet, they play pretty much everything from classic rock to country, pop to swing and more, all interspersed with plenty of humor and crazy antics.  This isn’t your typical acoustic bar band.

They take requests and they’ll be on stage from 8pm to midnight on Friday!

Drive a race car at Hoover’s Hometown Days!

Swing the door open and climb into the cockpit…

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to drive a real race car, come on down to Main Street on Saturday!  From 11am to 3pm, RU Racing will have a race car simulator set up.

These full motion, full size race car simulators feature high definition graphics, surround sound, wind and smoke machines for a full 4-D experience.  This is the most realistic experience you can get, in a fully controlled environment!

RU Racing simulators have been a huge attraction at events and major racetracks all throughout the midwest.  Check out photos and videos at their Facebook page!
