If jazz isn’t your thing, check out some of these other musical acts that will be performing at Hoover’s Hometown Days in 2017!
The Thunder Pigs (pictured)
The Thunder Pigs are a local band of high school students who cover classic rock songs. The core group consists of Ben Colbert on lead guitar, Atlas Kolpin on bass guitar, and Max Salemink on drums. The Thunder Pigs expect plenty of guest appearances from vocalists and other musicians, so it should be a fun time!
Sid V & the Human Resources
HHTD once again welcomes Sid V & the Human Resources. They’re an energetic cover band featuring a wide variety of hits, mostly from the 50s through the 80s. Hear oldies, classic rock, blues, big band swing, and even some country, folk, and polka styles! Their experienced vocalists can bring you the sounds of Elvis and Mick Jagger, and together with the rest of the band they perform songs from Little Richard and Chuck Berry to The Beatles and Zeppelin to Eric Clapton and much, much more.
FunkDaddies
FunkDaddies perform horn-driven soul, R&B, and dance music with their own original style. Featuring the talented vocals of Alicia Strong (the “Lady of Soul”), FunkDaddies are inspired by Earth, Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, and the classic hits of Motown. You’ll recognize music from KC & the Sunshine Band, The Commodores, Stevie Wonder, and even some Bruno Mars!
Brass Transit Authority
If you’re in the mood for some horn-driven classic rock, stop by to see Brass Transit Authority! They have a full lineup of talented musicians bringing you many hits from Chicago and Blood Sweat & Tears, and they can also throw in some Van Morrison, Huey Lewis, or Blues Brothers.
